This CD is about the carnival music of Brasil and New Orleans I have mixed some of the basic New Orleans Street beats with some Brazilian rhythms. It has been a very enlightening and enjoyable experience. I think our New Orleans music can be mixed with any type of music, but in my opinion, about which Brasilian rhythm fits best with New Orleans rhythm, it would be a rhythm called Ilu for the Orixa Yansa. After speaking with my teacher Jorge Alabe Condomble, a Master drummer all his life. Alabe means Chief of Drummers and knowledge of Condomble traditions.
